ABOUT US

Cynthia Simonetti is a licensed and board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 30 years of experience.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University.  The majority of her career she has worked in hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation settings and outpatient rehabilitation clinics. Her expertise allowed her to hold a clinical faculty position at the University of New Mexico as a Clinical Instructor. Her duties included teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as working with graduate student clinicians in the university clinic with adult clients.

Cynthia has dedicated her career to working with adults with neurogenic communication, cognitive, voice and swallowing disorders. She has worked with clients after stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and Mild Cognitive Impairment.  Additional areas of expertise include gender affirming voice and communication training, accent management, and compensatory memory strategies. Cynthia has been awarded and maintained the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Throughout her career she has been an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the New Mexico Speech and Hearing Association.  Cynthia has worked in New York, Chicago, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe, and has called Santa Fe home since 1993.
